April 2020

*checks calendar* yes, still April and still 2020.

Talking to other gardeners over the past couple of weeks, I get the sense that most of us are dealing with our enforced isolation perhaps in a more productive and calm way than others. I think this comes from the inevitable march of the seasons that we’re used to, and the discipline of sowing seed, nurturing plants and the regrowth of old favourites. It’s been a balm to my soul to look at everyone else’s images of their gardens and their daily walks (all within the permitted range of course) recently, and to have a constant in this sea of uncertainty is a blessing.
